Internet Wit
Internet Wit is flourishing nowadays due to the Internet being the largest ever-existing source of information. Countless web-sites deal with collections of endless ideas, jokes and anecdotes. "Internet wit" is different from "Wit on the Internet" due to the notion of ownership. And that's the main problem, involving "Internet wit" belonging to the public domain. There are millions of humorous pieces circulating around the World Wide Web what complicates copyright problematics. Internet wit specifically relies on characteristics that may be found in Internet exclusively, such as "geek" or "hacker". This type of wit is known as "in-joke" that grows until it reaches an enormous portion of Internet users. A classic example is "you have two cows" joke that was one of the first quips that made a sensation in Internet in 1993.
